Job summary

Wates Smartspace seeks a proactive Voids Supervisor to own a Derbyshire patch, overseeing void refurbishments and turnarounds across housing stock. You will manage multi-trade teams, inspections, and handovers, ensuring lettable standards and safety compliance.

The role requires a strong trades background, SSSTS, and experience in social housing voids. DBS checks and driving licence are expected. Excellent communication and stakeholder management are essential.

Qualifications

• SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme) is essential.
• Trade background in carpentry/plumbing/plastering or general building.
• Experience supervising voids and related works in social housing.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end voids process from inspection to handover.
• Supervise operatives and subcontractors across trades to ensure quality and timely delivery.
• Conduct pre- and post-void inspections and produce accurate specifications.
• Manage KPIs, turnaround times, budgets, and contractor performance.
• Liaise with housing teams and stakeholders to ensure smooth handovers.
