Job summary

Wates Smartspace is seeking an experienced Voids Supervisor to manage refurbishment and turnaround of void properties from Walton-on-Thames. A strong trade background and proven ability to deliver high-quality works within social housing are essential.

You will supervise operatives and subcontractors, produce specifications, monitor turnaround times, ensure safety, and liaise with internal teams to drive on-time handovers.

Qualifications

• SSSTS qualification is essential.
• Trade background with multi-trade knowledge.
• Experience supervising voids or planned works in social housing.
• Understanding of void standards and refurbishment works.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Manage void properties from inspection through handover.
• Supervise operatives and subcontractors to ensure safe, on-time delivery within budget.
• Produce specifications, conduct inspections, and complete quality sign-offs.
• Monitor void turnaround times and performance against targets.
• Liaise with internal teams and contractors to ensure smooth delivery.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
