Job summary

Kingston Council’s Housing Directorate is seeking a proactive Voids Manager to take ownership of voids across social housing, private leases and hostels. You will monitor turnaround times, coordinate with repairs contractors, and support contract managers to ensure timely inspections and quality standards are met.

You will need strong organisation, communication and leadership skills, with experience in housing management and the ability to collaborate with colleagues at all levels.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to lead and own issues from start to finish.
• Experience in housing management, especially voids, repairs and safety compliance.
• Ability to produce clear reports and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Own voids management process across all property types.
• Liaise with repairs and maintenance contractors and contract manager.
• Monitor turnaround pace and optimize pre/post tenancy inspections.
• Provide leadership and ownership of issues; build strong working relationships.
