Job summary

Niyaa People Ltd is seeking a Repairs Planner in Cannock to support social housing repairs scheduling. You will coordinate repairs across properties, manage contractor diaries, chase updates, and maintain accurate housing records. This busy role suits a highly organised candidate with direct repairs planning experience.

Immediate start and a 12-week temp contract with £17.00 per hour. Role is office-based initially with potential to work from home one day per week after training, Mon-Fri

Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate responsive repairs and maintenance across social housing properties.
• Manage operative and contractor diaries to meet timescales.
• Monitor outstanding repairs and chase updates.
• Liaise with contractors, operatives, surveyors and internal teams to resolve scheduling issues.
• Update repairs and housing management systems accurately.
• Monitor progress and escalate delays as needed.
• Keep work orders and property records up to date.
• Provide regular progress updates to relevant teams.
• Respond to priority changes and rearrange appointments.
• Support the team to ensure timely repairs delivery.

Join a well-established Housing Association in a key role supporting the delivery of an efficient and customer-focused repairs and maintenance service.The role offers the opportunity to play an important part in ensuring repairs are scheduled and completed efficiently, helping to provide quality homes and a reliable service for residents. You'll be coordinating and scheduling repairs and maintenance works, working closely with operatives, contractors and internal teams to ensure repairs are completed within agreed timescales. This is a busy and varied role that would suit someone who is highly organised, proactive and experienced in social housing repairs planning and scheduling. Previous social housing planning experience is essential for this position. Candidates must have direct experience planning or scheduling repairs and maintenance works within a social housing environment. We'd love to hear from anyone with a background as a Repairs Planner, Repairs Scheduler, Repairs Coordinator, Maintenance Coordinator, Repairs Administrator, Housing Repairs Administrator, or someone with strong experience in social housing repairs, property maintenance or housing services.

As a Repairs Planner, you will be:

• Scheduling and coordinating responsive repairs and maintenance works across social housing properties.

• Ensuring work orders, appointments and property records are kept up to date.
• Providing regular updates to relevant teams regarding the progress of repairs.
• Responding to changes in priorities and rearranging appointments where required.
• Supporting the team to ensure repairs are delivered efficiently and in line with agreed service standards.

• Previous social housing repairs planning/scheduling experience - essential.
• Direct experience planning and coordinating repairs within a social housing environment - essential.
• Experience within social housing, housing repairs, property maintenance or a similar environment.
• Strong scheduling, coordination and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the confidence to liaise with contractors and internal stakeholders.
• Good attention to detail and accurate administrative skills.
• Good IT skills and experience using repairs or housing management systems.
• NEC Housing experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
• The ability to manage a busy workload and prioritise competing demands.
• A reliable and professional approach, with good references.

Key requirements for this Repairs Planner role:

• Social housing repairs planning experience is essential.
• Previous experience planning/scheduling repairs within a Housing Association or social housing environment is essential.
• Strong administration and scheduling experience.
• Experience coordinating operatives, contractors or maintenance works.
• Experience using repairs or housing management systems.

The role is offering:

• £17.00 per hour
• 12-week temporary contract
• Monday-Friday, 08:00-16:00
