Job summary

Town & Country Housing Group is seeking a skilled Repairs and Maintenance Operative - Voids to prepare empty properties for new residents, ensuring homes meet lettable standards and delivering quality workmanship.

You will carry out repairs, refurbishment, and record work using mobile tech; maintain health and safety and drive licence requirements. Work independently or as part of a team, with strong customer focus and attention to detail.

• Full UK driving licence essential.

Our Vacancy

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Repairs and Maintenance Operative - Voids to join our team. In this role, you will help prepare empty properties for new residents, ensuring homes are brought up to a high lettable standard. What You Will Be Doing

You will carry out a range of repairs, maintenance, and refurbishment works to vacant properties, working from detailed specifications to ensure each home is ready for re-letting. You'll use mobile technology to manage and record jobs, accurately complete work orders, and provide photographic evidence of completed works. As part of the role, you will maintain high standards of health and safety, identify and report safeguarding concerns, ensure company vehicles and equipment are well cared for, and contribute to delivering an efficient, value-for-money service that puts residents at the heart of everything we do.

What You Will Need

You will have good all-round trade skills, experience working within social housing or a similar maintenance environment, and a strong understanding of safe working practices. A full UK driving licence is essential, along with the ability to use mobile devices to receive and record work activities. We're looking for someone who is organised, proactive, and able to work independently while also being a great team player. Strong communication skills, excellent customer focus, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively will help you succeed in this role.
