Job summary
Data Careers Ltd is seeking an experienced Voice & Network Engineer to join a small, highly skilled technical team within a public sector organisation on a 12-month fixed-term contract, located in Gloucester. The role focuses on voice technologies but also offers exposure to networking, LAN/WAN, monitoring and security.
You will work on Cisco CUCM/UCCE, SIP and Microsoft Teams, with hands-on involvement across a diverse technology environment and a rota including on-call duties.
Qualifications
- Weakness in Voice / Unified Communications with wider networking experience is welcome.
- Proven experience with Cisco CUCM/UCCE and SIP is essential.
- Experience integrating Microsoft Teams voice features is preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding across voice and network environments.
Responsibilities
- Configure, install, maintain and reconfigure Voice and network hardware and software.
- Support and troubleshoot Cisco CUCM, Cisco UCCE, SIP and Microsoft Teams environments.
- Investigate, diagnose and resolve Voice and network incidents within SLA tolerances.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity, performance and infrastructure issues.
- Maintain and monitor LAN/WAN environments supporting data and Voice services.
- Participate in 24-hour on-call and out-of-hours rota, typically one week in four.
