Job summary

EBN Academy in Birmingham is seeking a passionate Vocational Teacher to deliver engaging, practical classes for 13-16 year-olds in an Alternative Provision setting. You will craft high‑quality vocational lessons, assess progress, and support students to achieve strong outcomes.

The role includes opportunities to contribute to the vocational curriculum and potential tLR leadership in Careers across the Academy.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher with classroom experience and strong subject knowledge.
• Experience delivering practical, vocational lessons to 13-16-year-olds preferred.
• Knowledge of GCSEs and vocational qualifications and their awarding bodies.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality vocational lessons.
• Assess and monitor student progress and provide feedback.
• Contribute to ongoing development of the vocational curriculum.
• Create a positive learning environment and high expectations.
• Support students, including thosewith SEMH needs, to achieve outcomes.
• Possibly lead Careers across the Academy (TLR) for the right candidate.
