The Education Network in Dudley is hiring an English Teacher to deliver engaging lessons across Key Stage 3 and 4 in a specialist alternative provision.

You will work with pastoral staff and support colleagues to promote positive behaviour, engagement, and progression, helping students prepare for GCSE English where appropriate. The role offers a supportive team and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

  • QTS required.
  • Experience teaching English at secondary level.
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Ability to engage students who may have disengaged from education.

Responsibilities

  • Teach English to small classes of Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students.
  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons.
  • Support students who may have SEMH needs and barriers to learning.
  • Prepare students for GCSE English where appropriate.
  • Build positive and trusting relationships with students.
  • Manage behaviour effectively and consistently.
  • Monitor progress and adapt teaching to meet individual needs.
  • Work collaboratively with pastoral and support teams.
