Job summary

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher status or proven experience in working with young people.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging PE and sports-based activities to children and young people.
• Use physical activity to encourage participation, confidence, teamwork and positive behaviour.
• Support pupils within an Alternative Provision environment.
• Adapt activities to accommodate different abilities, needs and levels of engagement.
• Build positive and professional relationships with pupils.
• Encourage pupils to develop discipline, resilience, communication and self-confidence.
• Support pupils who may present with behavioural or additional learning needs.
• Work alongside teaching and pastoral staff to support individual pupil development.
• Maintain clear boundaries and promote positive behaviour throughout sessions.
• Help create a safe, structured and motivating environment.
