Job description

We are seeking an In Vivo Scientist to join our In Vivo Pharmacology team at our North West Leicestershire site. An In Vivo Scientist at Sygnature Discovery plays an essential role in supporting internal and client-based studies and projects, using specialised techniques and assays. Please note that this is a full‑time, onsite position.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute in vivo experiments independently in line with study objectives, timelines, protocols, and SOPs.
  • Manage day‑to‑day laboratory activities, including scheduling work, ensuring availability of consumables, and maintaining a clean and compliant workspace.
  • Use and perform relevant equipment and procedures safely and correctly, engaging with superusers where required.
  • Identify and troubleshoot technical issues, escalating appropriately when required.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of scientific and technical developments and actively broaden technical competencies through training.
Qualifications
  • BSc/MSc in a relevant discipline (Life Sciences, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Pharmacology).
  • PIL A & B are required, PIL C is desirable.
  • Experience gained within a pharmaceutical company, biotech, or CRO is desirable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
