Job summary

Matalan is seeking a VM Manager to deliver high visual merchandising standards across the store, ensuring clear product presentation that enhances the customer experience and aligns with commercial priorities.

You will work with the Store Manager and Regional VM Manager to plan seasonal launches, coach colleagues, and drive sell-through while maintaining premium brand aesthetics and in-store conditions.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of store operations and visual merchandising processes.
• Visual/retail qualification or equivalent experience in a similar role.
• Operational Excellence.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive visual merchandising standards across all departments in line with company guidelines.
• Plan and coordinate seasonal launches, campaigns and visual changes.
• Collaborate with Store Manager and Regional Visual Manager to align priorities with performance goals.
• Coach and develop store colleagues and VM advisors to build visual capabilities.
• Lead by example to foster accountability and continuous improvement in VM standards.
• Oversee day-to-day product presentation and availability through displays and tables.
• Coordinate visual activity outside peak hours to minimise disruption while supporting service.
• Maintain planogram integrity and balance commercial needs with brand standards.
