Job summary

Manchester City Council is seeking a proactive Visitor Information Manager for the Manchester Central Library. You will lead a team within the Visitor Information Centre, ensuring residents, visitors and tourists receive accurate, inspiring and welcoming support while helping them discover Manchester's rich culture and heritage.

You will develop partnerships with cultural organisations, attractions and tourism providers; launch new retail products; and drive initiatives that enhance visitor

Qualifications

• Proven staff line management experience in a retail or tourism related environment.
• Experience delivering excellent customer service.
• Flexibility to work unsocial hours, including weekends and evenings.
• Excellent digital and ICT skills across a range of packages.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Visitor Information Centre team to deliver accurate, inspiring support for residents, visitors and tourists.
• Develop partnerships with cultural organisations, attractions and tourism providers; launch new initiatives.
• Drive commercial and retail opportunities and income for the service.
• Represent Manchester City Council and showcase Manchester's culture and heritage to diverse audiences.
