Job summary

Royal Navy Museums (RNM): Naval Aviation in Yeovilton seek an Operations Manager to lead the Visitor Experience across ticketing, retail, catering and events. You’ll provide operational leadership, help our team deliver safe, welcoming experiences and boost commercial performance.

You’ll manage rotas, develop staff, respond calmly to incidents and work closely with the Visitor Experience Manager to translate priorities into practical daily plans, while upholding health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Strong people-management experience in tourism, heritage or other customer-focused environments.
• Clear understanding of retail and catering operations.
• Experience with EPOS systems for ticketing, retail or catering.
• First Aider responsibilities with training provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership across ticketing, retail, catering and events.
• Lead, motivate and develop the Visitor Experience team.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety and security across the site.
• Collaborate with the Visitor Experience Manager and Supervisors on plans and actions.
• Respond calmly and effectively to incidents and changes.
