Job summary

Optical Express in Newcastle is seeking a Patient Advisor to guide patients from initial contact through diagnosis and treatment to post-operative follow-up. You will support clinicians, coordinate consultations, and manage bookings in a high-end patient experience environment.

The role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends. A competitive salary and benefits package are offered while you complete full training.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a patient-facing role.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organisation.

Responsibilities

• Support patients through the pathway of vision correction surgery.
• Deliver warm, professional welcomes and manage first impressions.
• Capture diagnostic scans and explain features/benefits of technology.
• Assist in consultations with optometrists or surgeons, in-clinic or virtual.
• Close consultations, schedule surgery and aftercare.
• Manage payments, finance and administrative bookings.
• Meet and exceed commercial KPIs.
