Job summary

Abacus is seeking a Virtual Technology Manager (VTM) to orchestrate technology strategy and delivery for clients in regulated industries, including Financial Services and Healthcare. The role sits at the intersection of infrastructure modernization, cloud, cybersecurity, AI enablement, and service lifecycle management.

• Clear communication with technical teams and executives.
• Understanding of infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, and operations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary operational technology partner for assigned clients, aligning infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity with business objectives.
• Act as technical liaison between client stakeholders and Abacus delivery teams, prioritizing and driving resolutions.
• Perform targeted hands-on work within VTM scope while coordinating larger engineering efforts.
• Help clients operationalize technology initiatives in regulated environments, aligning governance, security, and modernization.
• Provide technical guidance and coordinate complex support and escalations across multiple teams and vendors.
• Guide modernization initiatives involving cloud platforms, identity access management, automation, and tooling.
• Support AI-enabled solutions and coordinate AI design resources as needed.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational maturity, resiliency, and automation.
• Oversight of service activity, escalations, and technical debt with ongoing improvement.
• Engage with client stakeholders through meetings, reviews, and technology planning.
