Job summary

Select Technology Systems Ltd in Kent is seeking a Virtual CIO to steer our Technical Account Management and Technical Alignment teams, owning relationships with our top 10 clients.

You will lead on cloud, infrastructure, cyber security, and business-aligned technology roadmaps, while coaching teams to deliver high-quality engagements. This hybrid role includes office time in Kent with client visits.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a vCIO, IT strategy, technical account management or senior MSP client-facing role.
• Genuine interest in business and people; comfortable with budgets and strategy.
• Energy, enthusiasm and passion for technology and its value.
• Confidence presenting to senior stakeholders in boardroom discussions.
• Strong technical grounding in cloud, IT infrastructure, networking, cyber security and AI.
• Natural coach, able to share knowledge and raise others' game.
• Self-starter attitude; comfortable owning a client base and making decisions.

Responsibilities

• Own client roadmap meetings and quarterly technology reviews.
• Lead conversations on cloud, infrastructure, cyber security and GDPR-related posture.
• Directly managing top-tier client relationships with executive guidance.
• Coach and enable TAC and Tech Alignment teams.
• Align best-practice standards to client environments and reduce risk.
• Set annual technology budgets with clients and produce clear summaries.
• Build relationships with clients at all levels, from IT managers to Directors.
• Monitor opportunity health and feed insights to service strategy.
• Track vendor roadmaps and regulatory trends for roadmap input.
