Job summary

inspiring vet care is looking for an organised Receptionist to join The Woodley Vet team in Reading on a full-time fixed-term basis for 12 months. You will be the first point of contact, delivering a welcoming and compassionate experience while managing appointments and client communications.

The role supports the clinical and non-clinical teams, with duties including diary management, payments, records and general admin, in a collaborative practice.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-facing role with focus on service and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and a professional, welcoming manner.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming clients and their pets in a warm, friendly and professional manner.
• Answering telephone calls and emails; responding to client enquiries efficiently and compassionately.
• Booking appointments and managing the appointment diary effectively.
• Processing payments and handling client accounts accurately.
• Supporting the clinical team with the smooth day-to-day running of the practice.
• Maintaining accurate client and patient records.
• Assisting with general administrative duties to support the wider practice team.
• Providing excellent customer service and ensuring every client feels valued and supported.
