Job summary

inspiring vet care, Zetland Vets, is seeking a part-time Receptionist to join a friendly team at Redland Hospital. You will be the first point of contact, delivering a welcoming, professional and compassionate client experience while supporting appointment scheduling and client communications.

You will work 34.5 hours per week across a mix of early and late shifts including Saturdays on a 1:4 rota, with a focus on teamwork and high service standards.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Welcoming clients and their pets in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Managing front-of-house and dispensing medications.
  • Booking appointments and preparing paperwork for Vets.
  • Entering information into patient records accurately and timely.
  • Attending training events to maintain knowledge for the role.
  • Keeping waiting areas, rooms and offices stocked and clean.
  • Taking payments and processing daily banking.
  • Some sole charge and other administrative tasks.

We are seeking an organised, personable Receptionist to join our team at Zetland Vets on a part-time permanent basis.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients, playing a key role in delivering a welcoming, professional and compassionate experience at every interaction.

You’ll support the smooth running of the practice by managing appointments, handling enquiries, supporting client communications and working closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to ensure a positive client and patient journey.

Working Pattern

We are looking for a new team member to work 34.5 hours per week, covering a mix of shifts between 8.30am-6.45pm Monday to Friday and Saturday 8.30am-5pm on a 1:4 rota at our Hospital in Redland.

  • Booking appointments
  • Getting paperwork ready in advance for the Vets
  • Attending training events to maintain knowledge and awareness required for this role
  • Keeping waiting areas, consulting rooms and offices stocked and clean
  • Entering information onto patient record systems accurately and in a timely manner
  • Assisting the vets and nurses as and when required
  • Registering new clients and explaining our services and offers
  • Taking payments and processing daily banking
  • Some sole charge
  • Any other administrative tasks
