inspiring vet care is looking for a Veterinary Receptionist to join Spring Lodge Vet Hospital, Witham on a part-time fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave. The role focuses on delivering a welcoming client experience while supporting clinical and non-clinical teams.

You will handle appointments, enquiries, payments and administrative tasks, ensuring accurate records and smooth client journeys across the practice.

• Maintain accurate client and patient records.
• Manage clinic emails and daily admin paperwork.
• Keep reception areas well stocked and presentable.
• Liaise with charities regarding collections.
• Attend reception team meetings when required.

We are seeking an organised, personable Receptionist to join our team at Spring Lodge, Witham on a part-time fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients, playing a key role in delivering a welcoming, professional and compassionate experience at every interaction.

You’ll support the smooth running of the practice by managing appointments, handling enquiries, supporting client communications and working closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to ensure a positive client and patient journey.

Working Pattern

• Working 20 hours a week, varied shifts to cover business hours 7:45am/8am - 7pm/7:15pm, working 1 in 4 Saturdays, flexibility in hours and location is needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Greeting clients in a professional, friendly and courteous manner
• Answering phone calls promptly and handling enquiries efficiently
• Booking, cancelling and managing appointments
• Taking cash and card payments
• Processing insurance claims and instalment enquiries
• Handling cash reconciliation and end-of-day banking procedures
• Dispensing medications and prescriptions
• Maintaining accurate client and patient records
• Managing and responding to clinic emails
• Completing daily administrative paperwork (lab reports, consent forms, vaccination documents, etc.)
• Ensuring reception areas, client information and retail products are well stocked and presentable
• Liaising with charities regarding collection boxes
• Attending reception team meetings when required
