Job summary

Swift Referrals, part of inspiring vet care, is seeking an organised, personable Receptionist to join the team on a full-time basis to cover maternity leave for 10 months. You will be the first point of contact for clients, delivering a welcoming, professional experience and supporting the smooth running of the practice.

You’ll manage appointments, handle enquiries, support client communications, and work closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to ensure a positive client and patient

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-facing role with a focus on service and attention to detail.
• Friendly, organised and capable of working in a busy environment.
• Collaborative approach and willingness to support colleagues.
• Proactive attitude with openness to feedback and learning.

Responsibilities

• Answer telephone calls in a clear and pleasant manner.
• Register new referral clients on the PMS service.
• Book appointments for initial assessments and rechecks.
• Discuss payments and insurance with clients by phone.
• Maintain accurate client and vets records on the PMS.
• Respond to emails and handle cash/credit card payments.
• Register clients on the PMS and forward to vets for advice.
• Log lab and imaging results to correct client files.
• Prepare daily clipboards for clients and ensure forms and payments are taken.
