Job summary

Inspiring Vet Care at Lockwood Vets is seeking a part-time Receptionist to join our team for a fixed-term period of six months. The role involves welcoming clients and their pets, managing appointments, and supporting the smooth running of the practice.

You will work 30 hours over 5 days per week, including mornings and late shifts, with occasional weekend involvement. A driving license is required for travel between sites.

We are seeking an organised, personable Receptionist to join our team at Lockwood Vets on a part-time fixed-term basis covering 6 months.

A drivers license would be required for this role due to travelling between sites on occasion.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients, playing a key role in delivering a welcoming, professional and compassionate experience at every interaction.

You’ll support the smooth running of the practice by managing appointments, handling enquiries, supporting client communications and working closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to ensure a positive client and patient journey.

Working Pattern

This is a part-time role working 30 hours over 5 days per week, even share of morning and late shifts. fair share of weekend rota.

Key Responsibilities
  • Taking phone calls, answering queries and booking appointments
  • Greeting clients and their pets on arrival
  • Check-in patients and verify their information
  • Update patient records and ensure attention to detailProcess payments and maintain accurate financial records
  • Dispensing medication
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the reception area and consult rooms
  • Administration duties such as emails and signing up clients to our Pet Health Plan
