Job summary

Inspiring Vet Care in Newbury is seeking a Veterinary Receptionist to deliver a welcoming, professional and compassionate experience for clients and their pets. You will manage appointments, handle enquiries and support colleagues to ensure a smooth client journey.

The role is part-time (28 hours/week) with a focus on delivering excellent customer service in a busy practice environment. Training and development opportunities are provided within a supportive team.

Donnington Grove Veterinary Group is a thriving small animal practice with three branch surgeries and an RCVS Tier 3 hospital based in Newbury, Berkshire. Newbury is a vibrant market town with excellent amenities, direct rail links to London Paddington in under an hour, and easy access to the beautiful countryside of the North Wessex Downs.

Our team is passionate about delivering outstanding care to patients and exceptional service to clients. As a Veterinary Receptionist, you’ll play a key role in creating a positive experience for every client and pet visiting the practice.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Veterinary Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients, playing a key role in delivering a welcoming, professional and compassionate experience at every interaction.

You’ll support the smooth running of the practice by managing appointments, handling enquiries, supporting client communications and working closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to ensure a positive client and patient journey.

General Responsibilities

Our reception team is focused on delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring every client has the best possible experience when visiting the practice.

Working Pattern

This is a part-time role working 28 hours per week.

  • Monday: 7.30am-1.30pm (6 hours)
  • Tuesday: 8.00am-2.00pm (6 hours)
  • Wednesday: 7.30am-1.30pm (6 hours)
  • Thursday: 1.30pm-7.30pm (6 hours)
  • Saturday 8am 12pm 1 in 10 Sunday 9am to 12pm paid in TOIL
