Job summary

inspiring vet care in Brighton is seeking a friendly Receptionist for a part-time, fixed-term role (12 months) at New Priory clinic. You will be the first contact for clients, manage appointments, and support both clinical and non-clinical teams to ensure a smooth client and patient journey.

The position is 19 hours per week, weekend work from 8am to 6pm, with a supportive, values‑led culture and opportunities for development.

Qualifications

• Friendly, organised and customer-focused candidate
• Experience in a customer-facing role with strong service focus
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment
• Collaborative approach and willingness to support colleagues

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for clients and their pets, in person and by phone.
• Triage emergencies and provide initial advice as needed.
• Relay messages accurately and act promptly on them.
• Welcome and register clients on arrival and book appointments.
• Assist with dispensing medicines as directed by the Vet and handle payments.
• Manage social media content and complete referrals and other admin tasks
