Job summary

inspiring vet care is seeking a friendly Receptionist for Nithsdale Vets in Thornhill, a two-site small animal practice in Scotland. You’ll manage appointments, client enquiries and payments, while supporting a positive client and patient journey across a high-standard facility in Dumfries and Thornhill.

You’ll be the first point of contact, delivering a welcoming, professional experience, coordinating with clinical and non-clinical colleagues and pursuing ongoing development and personal growth

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-facing role with a focus on service and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and a professional, welcoming manner.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Check/update client and patient information in the Practice system.
• Process bookings, enquiries and payments reliably.
• Support day-to-day running of the reception and front-of-house.
• Book, cancel and adjust appointments; process invoices and statements.
