Job summary

inspiring vet care is seeking a Receptionist at Lynton House Vets for a part-time permanent role. You will be the first point of contact, delivering a welcoming, professional and compassionate experience to clients and patients.

You’ll manage appointments, handle enquiries, take payments and support admin across the practice. You are friendly, organised and customer-focused, with experience in a customer-facing role and the ability to multitask in a busy environment.

We are seeking an organised, personable Receptionist to join our team at Lynton House Vets on a part-time permanent basis.

Join an exceptional team at Lynton Vets. Our 6 Veterinary Surgeons are supported by a great team of 8 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 1 Student Veterinary Nurse, 4 ANAs and experienced Receptionists across the Group. We have a family-like culture in practice and have embedded a truly supportive and encouraging ethos amongst the team. Each practice has an essential SOS chocolate station, and we are never short of cake with some excellent bakers across the group! Mental and physical wellbeing of the team is paramount to us.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients, playing a key role in delivering a welcoming, professional and compassionate experience at every interaction.

You’ll support the smooth running of the practice by managing appointments, handling enquiries, supporting client communications and working closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to ensure a positive client and patient journey.

Working Pattern

  • Shifts start at 7:30 earliest and latest finish is 19:30 with Saturdays 8-4.30 on rolling rota with toil.

Key Responsibilities

You will manage appointment bookings, handle queries and take payments, while also dispensing medication and assisting with general administrative tasks. Additionally, you will handle account queries, chase outstanding debt, manage payments, complete end-of-day banking and monitor petty cash records. You will also support the team with any other administrative tasks as required by the Head Receptionist, Practice Manager or Clinical Director.
