Vets4Pets Gateshead is seeking a friendly Receptionist to join our small animal practice. You will greet clients, answer phones, manage emails and handle routine admin with full training to our standards.

The role is 20 hours per week across mornings and evenings, with a Saturday rota. You’ll support bookings, prescriptions and patient records in a team that values care, communication and reliable service.

• Warm, confident manner with clients in person and on the phone.
• Ability to stay calm and multi-task in a busy environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with colleagues.
• Relevant customer-facing experience; veterinary or reception experience welcome but not essential.
• Comfortable with computers and basic administration.

Receptionist – Vets4Pets Gateshead – 20 hours per week

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and passionate Receptionist to join our team at Vets4Pets Gateshead.

Unlike many veterinary practices, we are individually locally owned and managed. We are a 100% small animal practice with a fantastic client base and a team that takes genuine pride in the care and service we provide.

We are looking for the right person rather than the perfect CV. If you are friendly, organised and genuinely motivated to make a difference for pets and their owners, we will provide full training to our standards.

The position

20 hours per week, Monday to Saturday, on a rota that includes a mixture of morning and evening shifts, with Saturdays worked on a rotating basis. We are open 9am to 7.30pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 6pm on Saturday.

What we are looking for

• A warm, confident manner with clients, both in person and on the phone.
• The ability to stay calm and multi-task in a busy environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues.
