We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with a passion for animals to join us as a Veterinary Receptionist at Werrington Vets.

Location: Unit 2 Brookfield Trade Park, 1210 Lincoln Road,Peterborough,PE4 6LA

Contract: Permanent

Hours:Between 20-30 hours per week between the hours of 8.15am and 7.15pm over 3 to 5 days (to be specified), plus 1 Saturday morning every 4 weeks (8.30am-12.30pm).

About the role:

Day-to-day duties of the role will include:

  • Answering phones and booking appointments
  • Responding to queries via phone, in person and email
  • Registering new clients
  • Completing insurance forms
  • Dispensing medications
  • Taking payments
  • And most importantly; providing a warm and welcoming experience to our clients arriving at the practice

What we're looking for in our Veterinary Receptionist:

  • Previous Receptionist experience is essential, veterinary experience is a plus!
  • Resilient with the ability to cope with potentially distressing and emotional situations
  • An excellent communicator with strong empathy
  • Excellent customer service skills and experience in dealing with members of the public
  • A positive attitude and excellent teamwork skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other database management and operating systems
