Wear Referrals, part of Linnaeus, is hiring a Client Care Team Member/Receptionist for their veterinary referral hospital in the North East of England. The role is permanent, full-time, 40 hours per week, with shifts from 7am to 10pm, Monday to Friday.

The ideal candidate has extensive high-level reception experience and a customer service qualification is preferred. You will meet clients, handle calls, liaise with referring vets, manage appointments, and assist with day-to-day admin while

Responsibilities

• Meet and greet clients in a professional, sensitive manner.
• Answer phone, handle queries, transfer calls, and take messages.
• Liaise with referring vets and record details accurately.
• Update in-house notes system clearly and accurately.
• Coordinate appointments with pet owners.
• Discuss finances and pet Insurance details.
• Process card and cash payments.
• Maintain departmental filing and records.
• Build good relationships with colleagues at all levels.
• Assist with ad hoc duties as requested.

Role: Client Care Team member

Location: Wear Referrals, part of Linnaeus

Job type: Permanent, full-time

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Shifts between 7am - 10pm.

Due to ongoing growth, we are inviting applications for an experienced Receptionist/Client Care Team Member to join our team at Wear Referrals Veterinary Specialist. This is a genuine opportunity for candidates with extensive high-level reception experience gained in a busy and challenging professional environment to join a successful and growing business with scope for career development for the right candidate. A customer service qualification is preferred.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in a similar high-pressure client care environment, be organised, smart and professional in appearance, detail orientated, committed to excellent customer service and able to commit to a shift-based role.

• Meeting and greeting clients in a professional, yet sensitive manner
• Answering the telephone, dealing with queries, transferring calls, and taking messages where applicable
• Liaising with referring vets and accurately recording details
• Updating in-house notes system clearly and accurately
• Coordinating appointments with the animals owners
• Discussing finances and pet Insurance details
• Taking card and cash payments
• Accurately carrying out departmental filing
• Building good working relationships with colleagues at all levels
• Assisting with any other ad hoc duties when requested.
