Job summary

The Royal British Legion is seeking an Advocacy and Complex Needs Advisor for the Inverness and Highlands region. You will provide holistic, person-centred support to veterans, managing complex cases and visiting beneficiaries at home to assess needs and progress.

You will work with mental health, addiction, and housing services, offering advocacy and referrals while coordinating with partner agencies to overcome barriers. Travel within the region is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in case management and person-centred support.
• DBS check at Enhanced level required.

Responsibilities

• Complete effective and efficient case management of circa 20 complex beneficiary cases; maintain accurate records.
• Conduct home visits to assess needs, build relationships, review progress and provide practical support.
• Work holistically with beneficiaries to identify priorities and develop a clear, person-centred support plan.
• Provide specialist advice and advocacy, connect with mental health, addiction, housing services and referrals.
• Coordinate with beneficiaries and partner agencies to overcome barriers and support priorities; provide motivational support.
