Job summary

The Richmond Fellowship Scotland is recruiting a full-time Behaviour Support Advisor to cover maternity leave at our Aberdeen complex needs service. Base is the Stoneywood complex needs service, with travel across the North of Scotland and possible overnight stays.

You will work within the Positive Behaviour Support Team to support individuals with learning disabilities or autism. You will develop behaviour support plans, deliver training to staff and collaborate with operational teams to

Qualifications

• Experience with people who have learning disabilities or autism.
• Ability to plan, prioritise and manage your own workload.
• Ability to work both as part of a team and on your own initiative.
• Willingness to travel across the North of Scotland and undertake overnight stays.
• Ability to develop learning materials and deliver staff training.

Responsibilities

• Carry out behavioural assessments to improve quality of life for individuals.
• Develop comprehensive, person-centred Behaviour Support Plans and support staff development.
• Plan, implement and evaluate behavioural interventions for individuals with challenging behaviours.
• Deliver service-specific training and create learning materials for staff teams.
• Monitor progress and produce evaluation reports with graphical data.
