Job summary

Quarters Brighton is seeking an experienced Venue Operations Lead to manage all venue activities in Brighton. Based at Quarters, you will oversee daily operations, budget adherence, and safety, while coordinating with bookers, promoters and production teams.

You will drive customer experience, lead a multidisciplinary team, and develop processes to ensure efficient events. Start ASAP; weekend and evening work required; full-time position at 187-193 Kings Rd.

Qualifications

• Extensive (5 years) management experience running projects/venues.
• Excellent working knowledge of events/venues.
• Knowledge of licensing, venue legislation, and operations.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience leading a team.
• Experience managing security.
• Proficient IT including MS Office (notably Excel) and Google Drive.
• Proven ability to manage budgets.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proactive, hands-on work ethic.
• Highly organised, detail-oriented.
• Creative and proactive problem solver.

Responsibilities

• Run all venue operations, manage budget, and ensure safety.
• Lead cross‑department meetings and coordinate actions.
• Drive commercial viability and new business development.
• Monitor venue activity quality and drive improvements.
• Recruit, lead and develop the core venue team.
• Represent venue in budget and reporting meetings.
• Negotiate contracts with clients and suppliers.
• Ensure licensing compliance and safety legislation.
