Job summary

Quarters Brighton is seeking a Venue Programmer and Promoter to manage its programming diary and develop a diverse, commercially successful annual programme. The role involves promoter relations, talent booking, budgeting, and cross‑team coordination with operations, finance, and marketing.

You will work closely with the Head of Bookings to input into a coherent programme, balance local and national promoters, and represent the venue at key shows while driving growth and innovation.

Qualifications

• Experience programming live entertainment venues, music venues or event spaces; minimum 2 years.
• Booking and promoting own events in a variety of venues.
• Strong understanding of the UK live music and events industry.
• Experience advancing shows and basic technical production.
• Excellent organisational and diary management skills.
• Commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
• Experience dealing with promoters, agents or event organisers.
• Strong administration skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; proficient in MS Office and file sharing systems.
• Confident working across multiple departments in fast-paced settings.

Responsibilities

• Hold and manage the programming diary and ensure timely sharing of relevant info.
• Coordinate bookings to create a diverse annual programme with balance of local/national promoters.
• Source and develop new promoters, brands, in-house concepts, and commercial opportunities.
• Book lineups and progressively book headline talent with AMAAD Booking Team guidance.
• Develop understanding of events, audiences, and risks; track trends and attendance.
• Build relationships with promoters, agents, managers, and community groups.
• Negotiate talent deals, budgets, venue hire and commercial terms.
• Represent Quarters Brighton professionally and as the venue’s face at promoted shows.
• Lead event advancing and ensure contracting, budgeting, and payments are on track.
• Share learnings with wider team to improve operations and customer experience.
