Job summary

BM Caterers in Milton Keynes is seeking a Vending Services Assistant to join our team on a 20-hour week, Thursday through Monday. You will work across vending points, ensure accurate cash handling, and help keep stock levels up to date.

The role requires previous customer service experience and certificates in Food Safety Level 2 and Health & Safety Level 2. You’ll liaise with departments, follow due diligence policies, and contribute to delivering high standards of service daily.

Qualifications

• Food Safety Level 2 and Health & Safety Level 2 certificates required.
• Previous experience in a customer service environment.
• Good merchandising skills and till handling experience.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with different departments and managers to achieve results.
• Comply with due diligence procedures according to policy.
• Store goods in line with food safety manuals and procedures.
• Keep accurate records of storage and due diligence checks.
• Label and date all food items correctly.
• Monitor vending points and machines to maintain stock levels.
• Handle cash accurately and perform stock taking.
• Attend training sessions as required.

This is a Vending Assistant position to work from Thursday through to Monday (20 hours per week).

Your duties include:

• Liaising with different departments & manager to achieve desired results
• Comply with all due diligence procedures as instructed following company policy
• Ensure goods are stored correctly in line with the food safety manual policies and procedures
• Ensure effective record keeping with regard to storage and due diligence checks
• Ensure all food stored is correctly labelled and in date
• Monitor vending points and machines to ensure consistent levels of produce
• Accurate cash handling/stock taking/record keeping
• Attend training where necessary

Following procedures and displaying good food safety practice at all times, you have your Food Safety Level 2 and Health & Safety Level 2 certificates. With previous experience working in a customer service environment, you have good merchandising skills and till experience.
