Job summary

BM Caterers is seeking a Vending Services Assistant for a 20-hour week (Thursday to Monday). You will support vending operations, handle cash, and perform stock checks while liaising across departments.

Prior customer service and merchandising experience preferred; Food Safety Level 2 and Health & Safety Level 2 certificates required.

Qualifications

• Food safety Level 2 and Health & Safety Level 2 certificates are required.
• Experience in a customer service environment is preferred.
• Good merchandising skills and till experience are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with departments and managers to achieve results.
• Follow due diligence procedures per company policy.
• Store goods correctly per food safety Manual.
• Keep accurate records for storage and due diligence checks.
• Label all food and ensure in-date stock.
• Monitor vending points to maintain product levels.
• Handle cash; conduct stock takes and maintain records.
• Attend training as required.

Job description

We’re a multi award-winning contract catering company, with a team of trained foodies serving over 45,500 satisfied customers every day. We now have an exciting opportunity for a Vending Services Assistant to join our team.

This is a Vending Assistant position to work from Thursday through to Monday (20 hours per week).

Your Duties Include

• Liaising with different departments & manager to achieve desired results
• Comply with all due diligence procedures as instructed following company policy
• Ensure goods are stored correctly in line with the food safety manual policies and procedures
• Ensure effective record keeping with regard to storage and due diligence checks
• Ensure all food stored is correctly labelled and in date
• Monitor vending points and machines to ensure consistent levels of produce
• Accurate cash handling/stock taking/record keeping
• Attend training where necessary

Following procedures and displaying good food safety practice at all times, you have your Food Safety Level 2 and Health & Safety Level 2 certificates. With previous experience working in a customer service environment, you have good merchandising skills and till experience.
