Job summary

KPI People Ltd in St Albans is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician & MOT Tester to join a busy independent workshop. You will carry out servicing, repairs and MOT tests to DVSA standards, with focus on manufacturer guidelines and quality workmanship.

The role offers a basic salary of £36,000–£40,000, a comprehensive benefits package, and a five-day working week (8:30–17:00, Saturday 1 in 3 mornings).

Qualifications

• Essential: Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance.
• Essential: Active MOT Tester Licence (Class 4 & 7).
• Essential: Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Servicing & Repairs to Manufacturer Standards.
• Carry out MOT Tests to DVSA standards.
• Cambelt, Clutch, Gearbox & Engine Repairs/Replacements.
• Electrical & Mechanical Diagnostics.
• Carry out New Car PDI's & Used Car MPC's.
• Warranty Repairs.

Vehicle Technician & MOT Tester Responsibilities

• Electrical & Mechanical Diagnostics

Experience, Skills & Qualifications

Essential Requirements
