Job summary

Hawk Hiring LTD is recruiting for a Service & Diagnostic Specialist, Vehicle Technician, or Mechanic to join our Ashford main dealer workshop. You will perform routine servicing, mechanical repairs, electronic fault diagnostics, and high-voltage EV/Hybrid maintenance across a broad range of modern vehicles.

Base salary ranges from £30,000 to £45,000 per annum, with an uncapped monthly bonus bringing realistic earnings to £55k–£60k+ OTE.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 (or solid time‑served workshop experience) in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
• 1+ years hands‑on experience in routine servicing, mechanical repairs, or electronic diagnostics.
• EV/Hybrid awareness or qualification is a bonus; full accredited Level 3 & Level 4 training provided if not yet certified.
• Mindset: positive, team‑oriented, and eager to upskill into EV diagnostics.
• Full UK driving licence & own hand tools.

Pay & Benefits

• Basic Salary: £30,000 – £45,000 basic per annum (Tailored salary scale starting from Service Tech through to Diagnostic Specialist)
• Bonus Potential: Uncapped monthly bonus structure (Technicians typically average an extra £300 – £600+ per month, reaching realistic £55k–£60k+ OTE)
• Hours & Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM — STRICTLY ZERO WEEKENDS (Enjoy every single weekend completely off)

Role Overview

You will carry out routine servicing, mechanical repairs, electronic fault diagnostics, and high-voltage EV/Hybrid maintenance across a massive range of popular modern vehicles.

Requirements

• Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 (or solid time‑served workshop experience) in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
• Experience: 1+ years of hands‑on experience in routine servicing, mechanical repairs, or electronic diagnostics.
• EV/Hybrid: High Voltage / EV awareness or qualification is a bonus, but full accredited Level 3 & Level 4 training will be provided if you are not yet certified.
• Mindset: Positive attitude, strong team spirit, and a drive to upskill into an advanced EV & Diagnostic Specialist.
• Essentials: Full UK driving licence & own hand tools.

• Road Links: Strategic location with excellent access via the M20, A20, and A28 corridors.
