Job summary

Hawk Hiring LTD is seeking an ambitious Service & Diagnostic Specialist or Car Technician to join our main dealer workshop in Gillingham. You will perform routine servicing, mechanical repairs, diagnostic work, and high-voltage EV/Hybrid maintenance across a broad range of vehicles.

The role offers market-leading pay with a base salary of £30,000–£45,000 plus an uncapped monthly bonus; realistic OTE £55k–£60k+. Training pathways including Level 3/4 HV certifications are provided.

Qualifications

• Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 (or solid time-served) in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
• Experience: 1+ years hands-on servicing, mechanical repairs, or electronic diagnostics.
• EV/Hybrid: High Voltage awareness or qualification; full accredited training provided if not yet certified.
• Mindset: Positive attitude, strong team spirit, and a drive to upskill into an advanced EV & Diagnostic Specialist.
• Essentials: Full UK driving licence & own hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and mechanical repairs.
• Perform electronic fault diagnostics on a wide range of modern vehicles.
• Conduct high-voltage EV/Hybrid maintenance with training provided.

Pay & Benefits

• Basic Salary: £30,000 – £45,000 basic per annum (Tailored salary scale starting from Service Tech through to Diagnostic Specialist)
• Bonus Potential: Uncapped monthly bonus structure (Technicians typically earn an extra £300 – £600+ up to £1,000+ per month, reaching realistic £55k–£60k+ OTE)
• Hours & Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM — STRICTLY ZERO WEEKENDS (Enjoy every single weekend completely off)

• Mindset: Positive attitude, strong team spirit, and a drive to upskill into an advanced EV & Diagnostic Specialist.
• Essentials: Full UK driving licence & own hand tools.

• Base: Gillingham / Medway area (Free secure on-site parking)
• Road Links: Strategic position directly off key Medway transport corridors (A2 / M2 / A278 bowater traffic flow).
• Commutable From: Gillingham, Chatham, Rochester, Rainham, Sittingbourne, Maidstone, and Gravesend.
