Job summary

Hawk Hiring LTD seeks a skilled Vehicle Technician or Service & Diagnostic Specialist for its Worthing main dealer workshop. You will perform routine servicing, mechanical maintenance and diagnostics on VW Group vehicles, including hybrids/EVs, ensuring quality repairs.

Salary ranges from £30,000 to £45,000 with uncapped bonus potential and strong career progression through official VAG training paths, in a supportive One Team environment at our Sussex-based dealer group.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2/3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair is required or solid time-served workshop experience.
• Hands-on servicing, maintenance and diagnostics experience.
• Willingness to upskill toward VAG Diagnostic Specialist status.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and mechanical maintenance on vehicles.
• Perform complex electronic fault diagnostics and high-voltage hybrid/EV repairs.
• Work in a modern main dealer workshop in Worthing and maintain high standards.

• Basic Salary: £30,000 – £45,000 basic per annum (Tailored scale aligned directly to your experience, scaling from Service Tech through to Diagnostic Specialist)
• Bonus Potential: Uncapped monthly bonus structure (Technicians average an extra £300 – £600+ per month, reaching realistic £55k–£60k+ OTE)
• Hours & Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM — STRICTLY ZERO WEEKENDS (Reclaim every single weekend completely)

Role Overview

Seeking an ambitious Vehicle Technician or Service & Diagnostic Specialist to join our main dealer workshop in Worthing. You will carry out routine servicing, mechanical maintenance, complex electronic fault diagnostics, and modern hybrid/EV repairs across the full VAG lineup.

Requirements

• Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 (or solid time-served workshop experience) in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
• Experience: 1+ years of hands-on experience in routine servicing, mechanical maintenance, or electronic diagnostics.
• Mindset: Positive attitude, strong team spirit, and a drive to upskill into a certified VAG Diagnostic Specialist.
• Essentials: Full UK driving licence & own hand tools.

• Base: Worthing area (Free secure on-site parking)
• Road Links: Strategic position directly off key coastal transport corridors (A27 / A259 / A24).
• Commutable From: Worthing, Brighton, Hove, Lancing, Shoreham-by-Sea, Littlehampton, Chichester, and Arundel.
