Job summary

Halfords is recruiting a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic in Newport. You will service and repair vehicles, handling tasks from routine maintenance to complex replacements such as clutches and timing belts. Diagnostics across electrics, brakes, steering and suspension will be part of daily work. A Level 3 in LVMR or time served, plus a full driving licence with <=9 points, is required.

Qualifications

• Must have Level 3 Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or time served experience.
• Full driving licence with no more than 9 points.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing and repair/replacement work.
• Perform more complex tasks such as clutches and timing belt replacements and diagnostics.
• Diagnose in areas such as vehicle electrics, brake, steering and suspension systems.
