Job summary

Lithia UK in Glasgow is recruiting a Vehicle Technician Apprentice for a September 2026 start. You’ll combine hands-on dealership work with formal training to achieve an IMI Level 3 in Vehicle Servicing and Maintenance, paving the path to a qualified technician.

No prior automotive experience is required; you'll learn on the job with mentor support, gaining skills across servicing, diagnosis and repair while earning a salary.

Qualifications

• A genuine interest in vehicles and the automotive industry.
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
• Enthusiasm and a positive attitude.
• A keen eye for detail.
• Grade C/4 in English, Maths and Science.

Responsibilities

• Learn to service vehicles following clear instructions.
• Diagnose, repair and replace vehicle parts.
• Carry out vehicle checks and inspections.
• Produce time estimates for repairs and maintenance.
• Maintain repair and service records.
