Job summary

A respected automotive recruitment firm is hiring for a Vehicle Technician in Yeovil. The role offers a competitive salary between £32,000 and £40,000 depending on experience, along with opportunities for ongoing training and career progression. Responsibilities include servicing and maintaining vehicles, diagnosing faults, and adhering to safety standards. Ideal candidates will have NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair and strong diagnostic skills. This full-time position operates Monday to Friday with a Saturday rota.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Vehicle Technician in a dealership or independent garage.
• Strong fault-finding skills and full UK driving licence.
• MOT licence beneficial but not essential.

• Carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repair work on a range of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

• Carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repair work on a range of vehicles.
• Diagnosing faults using manufacturer diagnostic equipment.
• Completing vehicle health checks and reporting any additional work required.
• Ensuring all work is carried out to manufacturer and safety standards.
• Accurately completing job cards, service records, and workshop documentation.
• Working efficiently to meet workshop targets and deadlines.

Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
• Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician in a dealership or independent garage.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
