Job summary

Auto Skills UK in Yeovil is seeking a Vehicle Technician to perform servicing, maintenance and diagnostics to high standards. You will ensure work is completed efficiently and correctly, with attention to safety and documentation.

The role requires an NVQ Level 3, minimum 2 years' experience, and a full UK driving licence. Own tools are essential; MOT licence is a plus. Salary up to £37,000 with a bonus and progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent).
• At least 2 years' experience as a Vehicle Technician.
• Strong servicing, maintenance and diagnostic skills.
• MOT Tester Licence desirable but not essential.
• Own tools and toolbox.
• Full UK Manual Driving Licence (subject to licence checks).
• Right to work in the UK (sponsorship is not available).

Responsibilities

• Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repair work.
• Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults.
• Completing repairs and maintenance operations accurately and efficiently.
• Ensuring all work complies with manufacturer and health & safety standards.
• Carrying out vehicle inspections and identifying additional work where required.
• Accurately completing job cards and workshop documentation.
• Working closely with Service Advisors and other workshop colleagues.
• Maintaining high levels of workmanship and customer satisfaction.

Salary: Up to £37,000 Basic Salary + Bonus

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm | 1 in 4 Saturdays, 8:30am - 1:00pm

THE ROLE

As a Vehicle Technician, you'll be responsible for carrying out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs while ensuring all work is completed efficiently and to the highest standards.

ABOUT YOU

We're keen to hear from candidates who can demonstrate:

• NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent)
• At least 2 years' experience as a Vehicle Technician within the automotive industry
• Strong servicing, maintenance and diagnostic skills
• MOT Tester Licence desirable but not essential
• Own tools and toolbox
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in delivering quality workmanship
• Ability to work effectively as part of a busy workshop team
• Full UK Manual Driving Licence (subject to licence checks)
• Right to work in the UK (sponsorship is not available)
