Job summary

Our client, a fast-growing automotive service provider in Yeovil, is seeking a Vehicle Technician to review work and perform a wide range of fast-fit mechanical tasks as well as light and full-service work.

No formal qualifications are required; the employer will support you to complete Level 3 IMI and Hybrid qualifications, with training and career progression on offer. Salary is £32,000–£34,000 with uncapped OTE and a 08:30-17:30 schedule.

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving licence – Essential.
• Experience as Vehicle Technician preferred but not required.
• Willing to learn and develop knowledge of Hybrid cars.

Responsibilities

• Light and full-service work.
• Fast-fit duties: brakes, exhausts, batteries, suspension parts.
• Operate wheel alignment machinery and interpret readings.
• Tyre diagnostics and fast-fit replacements.
• Collaborate with workshop to meet targets.
• Work as a team with other Vehicle Technicians.

Job description

Our client who is one of the UK's fastest growing fast-fit automotive business, are currently looking for a Vehicle Technician based at their retail centre in Yeovil.

As a Vehicle Technician you would be responsible for reviewing work on customers vehicles, completing wide range of fast fit mechanical work and light and full-service work.

you do not need to be a qualified technician for this role. Our client is happy to put you through your qualifications!

Location: Yeovil

Pay / salary: £32,000 to £34,000

OTE: Uncapped and realistic £3,600

Shift and schedule: 08:30 - 17:30 Monday to Friday; Saturdays 08:30 - 16:00 on a rota with a day off in the week.

Vehicle Technician Responsibilities:

• Light and full-service work
• Fast fit duties such as replacing and repairing brakes, exhausts, car batteries, suspension parts
• Operating precision wheel alignment machinery, interpreting readings, and completing accurate adjustments
• Carrying out precise tyre diagnostics, fast-fit replacements, and repairs across various vehicle makes
• Working with the rest of the workshop to achieve targets
• Work as a team with the other Vehicle Technicians

To be a Vehicle Technician you will need:

• Valid UK driving licence - Essential
• Experience working as a Vehicle Technician (no qualifications needed)
• Have a passion for the Automotive industry and want to develop further
• Want to learn and develop your knowledge of Hybrid cars
