Job summary

Autoskills-Uk is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician in Bridgwater for a full-time, permanent role. You will perform servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs to high standards in a professional workshop environment.

The ideal candidate has NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, at least 2 years of experience, strong diagnostic skills, and owns their tools. MOT tester licence is desirable but not essential. Must hold a full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent).
• MOT Tester Licence desirable but not essential.
• Own tools and toolbox required.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repair work.
• Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults.
• Completing repairs and maintenance operations accurately and efficiently.
• Ensuring all work complies with manufacturer and health & safety standards.
• Carrying out vehicle inspections and identifying additional work where required.
• Accurately completing job cards and workshop documentation.
• Working closely with Service Advisors and other workshop colleagues.
• Maintaining high levels of workmanship and customer satisfaction.

VEHICLE TECHNICIAN

Location: Bridgwater

Salary: Up to £37,000 Basic Salary + Bonus

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:30pm | 1 in 4 Saturdays, 8:30am - 1:00pm

THE ROLE

As a Vehicle Technician, you'll be responsible for carrying out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs while ensuring all work is completed efficiently and to the highest standards.

ABOUT YOU

We're keen to hear from candidates who can demonstrate:

• NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent)
• At least 2 years' experience as a Vehicle Technician within the automotive industry
• Strong servicing, maintenance and diagnostic skills
• MOT Tester Licence desirable but not essential
• Own tools and toolbox
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in delivering quality workmanship
• Ability to work effectively as part of a busy workshop team
• Full UK Manual Driving Licence (subject to licence checks)
• Right to work in the UK (sponsorship is not available)
