Job summary

Holt-Recruitment is seeking a Vehicle Technician for a busy workshop in Southport. The role offers a £42,000 basic salary with an OTE of around £51,400, a 42.5-hour week, and progression within a modern dealership.

You will service, diagnose, and repair vehicles to manufacturer standards, with ongoing manufacturer training and clear opportunities for career progression.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair is required.
• Minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain, diagnose and repair vehicles to manufacturer standards.
• Carry out health checks and inspections on customer vehicles.
• Record work carried out and parts used accurately.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop.

The Role

As a Vehicle Technician, you'll be responsible for servicing, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a wide range of vehicles to manufacturer standards. You'll play a key role in delivering high-quality workmanship while helping to keep the workshop running efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on customer vehicles
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults
• Complete vehicle health checks and inspections
• Ensure all work is completed to manufacturer standards
• Accurately record work carried out and parts used
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop
• Work closely with the wider team to deliver excellent customer service

What We're Looking For

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
• Minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience
• Previous dealership experience is desirable
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A positive attitude with a commitment to high-quality workmanship
