Job summary

HP4 Recruitment Ltd in Huntingdon is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to service and repair vans and light commercial vehicles. You will join a busy workshop, with a Monday to Friday schedule and optional overtime, and play a key role in maintaining fleet reliability.

The role offers a competitive salary (£38k base with £44k OTE), training, and progression within a large national business. Relevant Level 3 NVQ/City & Guilds and strong diagnostic skills are preferred, along with a full UK

Qualifications

• Level 3 NVQ / City & Guilds in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (preferred).
• Proven experience as Vehicle Technician / Mechanic / LCV Technician.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Experience working on vans or commercial vehicles (highly desirable).
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a range of vans and light commercial vehicles.
• Diagnose faults using the latest diagnostic equipment.
• Complete MOT preparation and general inspections.
• Ensure all work is completed to a high standard in line with manufacturer guidelines.
• Accurately complete job cards, service records, and compliance paperwork.
• Work efficiently to meet productivity and workshop targets.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.

About the Role

Our client is one of the UK's leading vehicle hire and fleet management businesses, and they are currently looking for skilled Vehicle Technicians to join their growing team across multiple sites nationwide.

This role will focus primarily on the maintenance, servicing, and repair of light commercial vehicles (LCVs) and vans, ensuring fleet reliability and safety for a wide customer base.
