Job summary

Perfect Placement is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire to service a diverse fleet of vans and cars. The role offers a competitive remuneration package with an OTE bonus and a structured career path in a national workshop environment.

Working a 42.5-hour week (Mon-Fri) with Saturday mornings paid as overtime, you will diagnose, maintain and repair vehicles to manufacturer standards while contributing to high customer satisfaction and fleet efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose electrical and mechanical systems on light commercial vehicles using manufacturer diagnostic technology.
• Carry out routine and preventative maintenance, repairs, and servicing to manufacturer standards.
• Complete vehicle repairs or component replacements as required.
• Prepare vehicles for MOT and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Contribute to high levels of customer satisfaction through quality work and service.
• Work within a team to support regional workshop operations and maintain fleet efficiency.
• Continually develop technical skills through in-house and manufacturer training programmes.

Duties of theVehicle Technician:

Requirements of the Vehicle Technician:

• Level 3 City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
• Minimum 4 years' experience in a vehicle technician role, preferably within a fleet environment
• Full UK driving licence
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and quality standards
• Team player with good communication skills
• Experience working on light commercial vehicles is desirable
