Job summary

Perfect Placement UK Ltd in Wantage is seeking an Automotive Vehicle Technician/Vehicle Mechanic for a multi-franchise dealership. The role offers a starting salary of £35,000–£40,000 with a realistic £46,000 OTE, and benefits including 29 days leave, enhanced overtime, pension, staff discounts, and on-site parking.

You will carry out servicing, repairs, MOT tests, and diagnostics, with good paperwork practices and opportunities for training and MOT licensure.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 Vehicle Technician or equivalent is required.
• Current UK driving licence is required.
• Dedicated and committed approach is essential.
• You will enjoy all aspects of the vehicle technician role.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out servicing and repairs on a variety of vehicles.

Job description

An exciting opportunity has become available for an Automotive Vehicle Technician / Vehicle Mechanic within a multi-franchise-approved car dealership located in Wantage.

Our Automotive Client has a need for a Vehicle Technician or Vehicle Mechanic who is motivated and able to work to their own initiative.

• Starting salary between £35-40,000 per annum, pending experience.
• Monthly team bonus up to £6,000 per annum.
• 29 days annual leave (including the bank holidays).
• Overtime, subject to availability, paid at an enhanced rate.

Monday to Friday 8:00am-5:00pm with a 30-minute lunch break and two 10/15 minute breaks.

Duties

• Carrying out Servicing and Repairs to a variety of Vehicles
• MOT Testing
• Performing Diagnostic Testing to identify Vehicle Faults.
• Ensuring that paperwork is completed to the highest standards

Requirements

• A Fully Qualified Vehicle Technician NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
• A Current and Valid UK Driving License
• Dedicated and committed approach.

The salary for this role is up to £40,000 basic with OTE of £46,000.

Hours of work for this Vehicle Technician role are: Monday to Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
