Perfect Placement UK Ltd is recruiting on behalf of a leading automotive retailer for a Vehicle Technician role at a franchise-approved dealership in South Oxford. The position offers a competitive salary and a package including a £4,000 joining bonus, with access to manufacturer training and career progression.

We seek candidates with IMI/NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair and 1–2 years’ experience. A valid UK licence and own tools are required for this on-site role.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years’ practical experience as a Vehicle Technician preferred.
• Own set of tools required.
• Valid UK driving licence with minimal points.

Responsibilities

• Conduct fault diagnosis, servicing, maintenance and repairs on vehicles.
• Ensure work meets franchise and dealership standards.
• Accurately diagnose faults and report findings to Service Manager.
• Adhere to health & safety and quality procedures at all times.
• Maintain clear communication with Service Manager about vehicle condition and safety.
• Work effectively within a team to meet targets and deliver quality workmanship.

Duties of a Vehicle Technician:

• Conduct fault diagnosis, servicing, maintenance, and repairs on vehicles
• Ensure all work meets the standards set by the franchise and dealership
• Accurately diagnose vehicle faults and report findings to the Service Manager
• Ensure compliance with health & safety and quality procedures at all times
• Maintain clear communication with the Service Manager regarding vehicle condition and safety
• Work efficiently within a team to meet targets and deliver high-quality workmanship

Requirements of a Vehicle Technician:

• At least IMI/NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
• One to two years’ practical experience as a Vehicle Technician preferred
• Own set of tools required
• Hold a valid UK driving licence with minimal points
• Good team player with a commitment to quality work
• Motivated to meet team targets and enhance skills
• Previous experience in a franchise-approved dealership is advantageous but not essential
• An active MOT Smart Card is highly desirable but not mandatory
