Job summary

Octane Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician for a busy main dealership in Walton-on-Thames. The role requires servicing, maintenance and repair of vehicles, along with fault diagnosis and MOT testing if qualified.

A Level 2 NVQ in Motor Vehicle Technology or equivalent is expected, with previous dealership experience preferred. Salary is up to £35,360 per year plus bonus and overtime; MOT testers receive an additional £91 monthly allowance.

• Minimum Level 2 NVQ in Motor Vehicle Technology (IMI or City & Guilds).
• Experience in main dealership preferred but not essential.
• Proven servicing, maintenance and repair skills on a range of vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on a range of vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
• Complete vehicle inspections and health checks.
• Identify additional repair and maintenance requirements.
• Carry out MOT testing if appropriately qualified.
• Complete accurate job cards and service records.
• Maintain high workshop quality and safety standards.

Job description

We are recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Technician, Automotive Technician, Motor Vehicle Technician or Car Technician to join a busy main dealership in Walton-on-Thames. Applicants must have previous vehicle servicing and repair experience and hold a minimum Level 2 NVQ qualification in Motor Vehicle Technology (IMI or City & Guilds). Previous main dealership experience is desirable but not essential.

Location: Walton-on-Thames

Salary: Up to £35,360 basic per annum, plus bonus and overtime, OTE up to £55,000 per annum

MOT Allowance: Additional £91 per month for qualified MOT Testers

Hours: Full Time, Permanent
